Nah, more like “Russian bots exist and some people I disagree with are Russian bots.” Which is pretty much the entire premise of the article.
It’s also pretty easy to tell the difference IMO. The trolls tend to just do nothing but troll and flame. They don’t really spend much time engaging on other topics.
As far as why I think Lemmy is a training ground? Call it a hunch. Obviously I don’t have a notarized letter from a troll farm saying that they are in control of a certain worldnews forum, but a lot of the usual suspects fit a bit too neatly into that box to not raise an eyebrow. There are some other patterns as well but its definitely all circumstantial.
And before people say “not Lemmy, we are too small” - It’s pretty obvious that a major Lemmy instance is literally a training ground for these recruits before they get promoted to Facebook and reddit duty (either intentionally or otherwise). There have been a few narratives this election which seem to have been tested out on here weeks before getting to Facebook and reddit. “Blue MAGA” was a pretty obvious one they seemed to workshop on Lemmy.
I choose to use my individual agency to focus on mammoth cloning and not climate change. Are you going to arrest me and force me to do the science you want?
This makes it seem like jerking off to MILF porn is hard because there is a learning curve
Great so now I will mangle all my merge commits depending on which version the host is using.
The M stands for beefcake
Vim is way easier tho
Is it? This happened miles offshore.
Blue Cruise is legit as well though significantly more limited than FSD, and Ford is unlikely to push new updates the way Tesla does.
Right, the French authorities are going to present evidence that this dude was aware of specific illegal activity and refuse to comply with a legal warrant involving said actively, making him guilty of obstruction at best, and possibly conspiracy. Signal complies with warrants, they just don’t have anyone’s keys. Telegram has everyone’s keys, and theoretically could turn them over but they refuse. That’s a huge difference from a legal perspective.
This is precisely why opsec is more than just an app.
Leaky keyboards are a possibility, but what is actually far more likely is just that someone on the signal group chat was a mole who was archiving the traffic for the party. Signal has since made efforts to bring anonymous accounts to the platform, which will help thwart such attacks. Though against a state actor it is still not enough unless you take additional measures to obfuscate traffic. And then that still doesn’t protect you against some CCP brownshirt from tailing you and then snatching your phone out of your hand when you unlock it.
I have it and it is legitimately a great driver aid. But you need to understand its limitations to use it safely. It’s a really awkward place to live in, because I get an immense amount of value out of it, but I would not just throw my mother in the car and trust her to use it safely.
Pro-tip: make an effort to interact with your neighbors *before* this situation so they know you as more than a stuffy Karen.
Look, if you can afford a yard, then you can afford a landscaping service.
I do the final rinse with distilled water. No towels ever touch my paint.
Literally on my drive home today. Dude was angry that I was actually going 25 mph outside the school, where busses were loading children and sped around me doing like 50 at the first opportunity.
Then he literally stopped at the next red light, saw I was right behind him, and just ran the red light because his tiny, fragile ego could not handle the fact that he was a grown ass man acting like a petulant child. Which obviously means he needs to break the law more.
I assume he had shit himself because I cannot imagine any other reason for a grown ass man to behave like this.
Yes, literally the noise ordinance where I am says no gas mowers/trimmers/blowers before 9am and no music which crosses property lines after 10pm. This is not complicated.
Meh, it’s depends on what you do. I know several low level C engineers who would be far more comfortable rolling a fresh driver over doing some more abstract intro CS projects.
