Not rooted, nor do I want to be.
Got so tired of google pay breaking on crdroid that I got a credit card just to use my watch instead.
Still rocking a op7 pro on android 14.

I generally use Gboard, but for terminal sessions unexpected keyboard is great.
Opendkim on sendmail and, uh, DNS records. I used dmarcian for a bit to analyze dmarc but after awhile there’s no point.
Not only do I not use Gmail, but I also run my own mail, calendar, and contacts servers. It’s not for everyone, but I have control of all my stuff going back to 1997.
Yeah. Our work endpoint is in AWS. YouTube hates that. So does reddit.
I still just use :X with vim on a server I can ssh to.
They are good as cheap portable streaming devices. I bought one that is used as a TV in my camper van. Magnet mounts in the kitchen and bed to easily move it around.
And unsurprising
Because it’s “too hard” for websites to have proper relationships with advertisers vs just signing onto an ad network.
I got tired of gpay breaking every week or so on crdroid. I just got a card that works with my Garmin watch and pay with that now. No more fighting the nonsense.
To do it right, use a write blocker and clone it. Then lock the original away and have fun with the copy.

Back to the root of it: security is a process, not a product. Good security means having sysadmins, network admins, developers, and non-technical employees doing things with infosec in mind.
Humans are not identical. I didn’t want to spend the money on AXS, but stage 4 arthritis in my thumb and an lrti surgery means that or no mountain biking because it hurts too much to shift.
Having gear that you have to fight with adds nothing to the sport.
Rack mount server class machines at home generally aren’t great options. Definitely stick with tower/mini designs.
That said, for a home server a general workstation may be best. I personally have a System 76 Thelio. I added a second drive and installed proxmox with a ZFS mirrored pool.
Dunno if it is a viable new phone choice these days, but my op7 pro is still going strong with crdroid.
It seamlessly integrated your own local media with tidal. Instead of encoding or downloading, you could just add tidal music as if you had a physical copy of it. It could also be used for radio and plexamp mixes.
