Thanks, I’ll check that out.

“had”
Were you able to make the alert stop?
I suppose I could try that. I was hoping for an easier solution.
The phone is really great other than this one annoying “feature,” especially for the price.
Haha, yes, everyone else is trying to ruin my fun. I can fly sometimes, but not for long, and it’s a real struggle to stay airborne.
I’m glad I’m not alone. My husband barely dreams at all.
By the purest definition (being aware that you are dreaming), I lucid dream nearly every night. I never did anything special to achieve this.
But, it’s not as fun as they make it sound. At some point, my mind started resisting me. Sure, I can do anything I want… sometimes. However, most of the time, anything I change goes back to the way is was immediately.
I also used to be able to wake myself up while lucid dreaming. For instance, maybe I would be aware that I am napping, and I need to wake up. So, I would. But, my mind now resists that as well. When I try to wake myself up, sometimes I just wake up into another dream. And, for whatever reason, I am not aware that I am dreaming in the new dream.
None of this upsets me too much, but it is annoying. I think it may be related to some sort of mild, generalized sleeping disorder I have. I experience sleep paralysis and insomnia episodes, but they’ve never been frequent or upsetting enough for me to seek treatment.
I disagree. He said “I think [she smelled my fart].”
I absolutely believe that. I believe he thought that. I also believe he is stupid af.
The Wikipedia app has had dark mode for a while. Plus dark mode in Firefox works fine with no extensions.
I’m currently reading “All the Knowledge in the World: A History of the Encyclopedia” by Simon Garfield. It mentions a similar thought held by some around the time of the creation of the Encyclopedia Brittanica. (Late 1700s, if I recall correctly)
There were too many books, and they were being printed by just anyone. Who needs a really long dictionary, anyway?
I have no experience with setting up Windows after Linux. I’ve always done it the other way around.
However, what version of Windows was it running before? If you haven’t switched the components yet, you can use Windows to make a Windows boot flash drive or DVD officially using the “Windows Media creation Tool.” It’s a free download from an official Microsoft page. I don’t think you needed to buy Windows 11 at all. Both windows 10 and 11 will recognize that your hardware (motherboard mostly, I believe) is registered with a license, and it will simply activate your Windows online, no hassle. It’s like the one thing Microsoft got right.
I could, but I have no aptitude for visual art. I’d sooner buy one of the vintage Linux boxes. And I may very well do that.
Can I make my own Linux install media? Yes. I do it all the time. Can I make my own software box with cool artwork and booklets and various other goodies? No.
Thank you. I see the DVDs and the USB sticks, but how can you tell which ones actually come as a box set? It’s really the box I’m interested in.
Wie komisch! I actually know German, but they don’t deliver to the USA. Thank you, though.
A play? No, I just saw an old Linux box and wondered if anybody still made them.
Thanks. I was hoping for an actual set in like a cardboard box.
Mostly just purely nostalgic reasons, computer software in boxes.
Actual box for display.
I guess disabling full screen notifications for the phone app does work, but I kinda liked the full screen notifications when I’m driving.
