Indoor agriculture has many advantages, but it also needs cheap land, and cheap energy. That usually means a balance between close to major urban centers, but far enough away to have a lot of room (including solar). Greenhouses, even tall ones, with multiple stories is the path to go. Solar and owning land means complete cost certainty for energy.
Advantages include low water, pesticide, fungicide, long growing season, high yields, and resilience to climate. It is global south and high north that need the resilience, and who have the most threatened agriculture states.
UBI is needed for power redistribution more than wealth redistribution. Sure, one good reason is the employment displacement from robotics/ai. But a robot tax is far inferior to general income taxes. Beyond your examples, pipes and wires into your home are automation. Machines with human operators are automation as well.
Even if you were to only tax the robot users, what about those who get rich from building yachts for the robot users?
China has a big lead in robotics because nearly all manufacturing is done there. That is there massive competitive advantage in EVs as an example. As a national competitiveness, and consumer prices, measure, incentivizing people to go collect their water from a nearby river, and heating wood from nearby trees, and otherwise committing to full employment through less automated processes, is a massive decline in standard of living.
UBI does let you create your own job. Sales and design will always be needed, even if design is inputs into an AI prompt. Without the disempowerment of warmongering rulership, AI will serve the disinformation and murder needs of that rulership. UBI/freedom dividends funded by taxes on extreme income is the path to make the winners pay for human sustainability instead of human extermination.

There was a plank computer post here last couple of days. It showed an atomic sized computer performing one crack attempt every 10^-44 seconds would take a 95 character alphabet 100 years to crack a 121 character password.
Monkeys take up 1m^3. 10^105 bigger than a plank length. Typing 120wpm is 10^43 slower. Ignoring punctuation and spaces and capitalization, a 26 character alphabet allows for about 52 more characters than a 95 character alphabet.
Bottom line, monkeys can’t come anywhere close to being able to crack a 100 character password from a 26 character alphabet.
The US claim on TSMC, are based on it using ASML (Dutch) equipment which has patent licenses from US. I was just answering the puzzling US colonial power roots. There may come a point of challenging the colonial patent power, while still attempting to pay for the patent, or China’s “delete America” program may get more allies or rebellion from the colonies.
China/BRICS is a much bigger market than US, and economics means figuring out a way to earn from all sides is motivated. US promises to isolate itself even more under Trump, and there is a limit to how much it will be respected.

As they should be. US/NATO expansion is an existential threat to Russia. CIA even more brazenly embraced would divide and conquer Russia through splitting it into warring provinces. US has no intention of improving humanity/world if it reduces subjugation to the empire.
While every comment here seems to scream “end patents”, arm has less patent bs than other tech (rounded corners) meant to sue/prevent use. Arm works hard on developing and improving architecture and designs to offer licenses at a compelling price. Qualcomm paying as much as other licensees should be preferable to Qualcomm than bankruptcy.
Like media, AI must be an Empire supporting agent. AI must use as an axiom that US empire is a force for good. NATO is a defensive alliance according to AI models, as an example. Disinformation is a key US military purpose. Zionism is a key US military objective/allegiance.
AI being good at killing people is secondary to who it glorifies killing. AI allegiance to “civilian defense/offense oversight” is a bigger problem than the tactical execution of hegemony.
