I don’t know what it looks like now. In 2019, at least in one of the cities I went to, it seemed like everyone had a XiaoMi

Look in the OS provided “App Store” first - GUI or not, your choice.
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Look for a TRUSTED alternative App Store source. Then check the App Store again.
Still can’t find it? Look to see if there is a package available that your OS can recognize (different based on what flavor of Linux you’re running)
Still can’t find it? See if you can find the code to build the dang thing yourself.
… did everyone remove the media drive off laptops? There are also external media drives.
Red hat based? Install the RPM. Debian based? Install the deb, generally? Install from the repository. You can also install from source if you’d like
Gen Z are those who can’t remember 9/11
It’s a different paradigm for windows users. “Why won’t this exe/msi install on my computer?”
But also, once you realize the unlimited potential to customize it’s pretty special. I, for one, hate using anything without a tiling windows manager.
Can you not order Ubuntu on a DVD anymore? Also you’re explaining dual boot. You can just single boot linux
Gen Z started in 97, IIRC
Hi, I’m a programmer. Most of my classmates didn’t know how to use Linux.
Now, I’ve realized that newer products are being developed via Visual Studio so……
Linux and command line knowledge aren’t the same as being tech savvy
Oh man. That’s work that office IT. At my office, the just log everything but unless you do something wrong, no one checks it.
Every student should be issued a webcam shade
Oh my bad. I thought the code link was a link to the current page.
So it’s swift with no release yet. I hope he releases a stable version soon
The repository only has three files in it
Which would lead to a gap in protection. It’s also not clear if the battery is easily serviced
When did they stop using starlink?
How does that even work? I’m glad lives were saved but the system must have something I’m missing.
If there is a button on the back of the badge with your picture on it, you can’t use someone else’s badge. It also means there are electronics in the badge, and therefore a battery.
Over time batteries will die and the badge system will become useless unless everyone gets new badges once a semester.
“IDK, depends on how many people buy our idea. Would you like a smart hair dryer?”
It’s a shame that advertisers are still planning to cut spending. I, for one, plan to maintain my current level of spending with X. I have no future plans to cut or boost my spending with X.
Nobody should profit from copyright violation. Yes, copyright law needs to change, but making money isn’t an exception
I have cats. Putting them back in a bag or box is easier
I only joke about Arch being the superior distro because, well, I use it and because it’s apparently a thing.
I actually don’t have any strong feelings about Ubuntu. It’s a distro. It works. I only use Arch because of the AUR (I’m lazy, okay?). I don’t have strong feelings about it either. Linux is configurable to basically exactly what you want. Once (or if) you get into customization you just pick the distro that allows you to get to what you want faster.
I do have strong feelings about Windows though.
