That’s a lot of katakana.
The pacing is terrible. All it has so far is gorgeous art. The world building does seem a bit interesting so I wonder if reading the source material would be a better experience. The main plot also seems like a good premise for a story. I’ll watch a bit more but it’s very likely that I’m going to just drop it and grab the source material before deciding if this is worth watching/reading fully.
I’ve been on the internet long enough to know things. The obvious thought crossed my mind when I found this anime, but the description compelled me to at least give it a try. At episode 3 I have to say that I don’t hate it. It’s pretty slow so it’s not for everyone but I’m pretty interested to see where this goes. I really like how chill it is and the story has potential so far.

This episode was pure emotional damage for me. Well, I just have to employ the skill I trained for years: Smile the pain away :)
I’m happy this exists.
I always related to Abiko sensei the most and that annoyed me. Maybe I’ve been a bit harsh with hating on adaptations in the past, but I feel like I at least try to isolate which parts specifically I like and dislike. I’m not a fan that can never be pleased, at least I hope so.
I wonder how much of the manga they’re gonna adapt. It’s been a while since I read the earlier chapters so the sequence of events is a little fuzzy in my head.
Based Naori excellent taste. Yes the romance aspect is cool and all but the references give me life
Yay no fan service. Just pure diabetes. I’m happi
Ah gotcha. That makes sense.
The StroZero joke is starting to get old but the sober streams and the backstory at the end make me think there could be more variety in future episodes. If the next episode is more of the same I think I’ll just drop the show.
This anime isn’t amazing or anything but it’s just dumb fun and I’m okay with that (as long as there’s going to be a little more variety).
I couldn’t decide on a screenshot so here’s two. Idk how the bot extracts the images from comments but whatever.

Hmm yes. I have nothing to say because my brain melted so I’m just going to put the screenshot here and be on my way.

There is a void in my heart that never fills no matter how much anime I feed it.
stares at the moon dramatically
This whole anime is calling me out.
I spent most of my life not knowing who I was because I was hyper vigilant of the people around me and kept adjusting my personality to be “socially acceptable.”
This is how you punish honesty. I am unfortunately really good at lying, but it’s still exhausting. I just can’t comprehend why people can’t just let people be “weird.” Why is conformity such a big deal anyway. Who gives a shit.
This anime may have gotten me a little worked up with unpleasant memories. Still, it’s cute and I love it and I want moar.
As much as it pains me to say this, I want the anime industry to collapse. Hopefully if that happens more studios will attempt to create anime without the bullshit system they use now and maybe the animators won’t be crunched to death.
I love anime but why does everything I love need to be stained in blood :(
I thought the same as Aqua about stage plays when I first read this chapter in the manga. Someday I’m gonna go to Japan and watch an actual stage drama.
This was a hilarious episode and I cannot express the joy I’m feeling that the adaptation is finally out… almost.
This could have been a 10 but the unnecessary fan service annoys me 😩
I don’t dislike fan service inherently but it just feels out of place in RoshiDere. It’s not like the manga doesn’t have any but it’s annoyingly pronounced in the anime.
The description looked interesting so I decided to give it a try and now I’m invested. I can’t wait to see how this plays out.
I noticed that but since it’s the first episode I didn’t want to jump to conclusions. The other irl characters were also represented symbolically, so it’s probably either to communicate that the character is the one that matters in the scene and the actor is irrelevant, or could also just be a way to maintain the “illusion” so to speak. At the very least, I’m inclined to believe that if they understand this much about vtubers, they must have made a concious creative decision to represent her as the character irl. Whether or not that was a good decision remains to be seen.
Either way it still bothered me though.
I was worried at first but it seems like this show is actually pretty well written. Whether it gets better or worse remains to be seen but the first episode makes me think that it’s going to be good. I mean, it’s not exactly a high bar to clear but the representation was done right imo at the very start so I’m optimistic. I can see the internalized transphobia, and Makoto isn’t being fetishized or being made the butt of the joke. I think I’m going to end up getting attached to the main cast.
I was really worried after the previous episode but I’m glad it worked out. As much as I hate Tobias and think he should have called off the engagement sooner (because Dahlia definitely wouldn’t have) at least he stopped it before things got really messy. I don’t think he’s necessarily a bad person, just incredibly stupid, with an inferiority complex and lacking a spine. I’ve unfortunately seen that archetype before irl multiple times.
Apart from that, I want to mention that this is what good worldbuilding looks like. You’d think the legal process would be boring to watch but it was actually really well done because it accomplished multiple goals. It showed the structure of how civil matters are handled, it showed Dahlia being careful and showed that she’s surrounded by plenty of supporters. It also worked as one more push to get her to be more true to herself.
I’m definitely going to pick up the source material once the anime is done airing.
