I don’t see evidence in the article that it even is ‘their software’ being discussed here - just a framework they are suggesting for compositors to have new functionality (regardless of GPU brands).

It even says “They aren’t going into this alone but at this year’s DisplayNext Hackfest it was also backed up by AMD for going a similar route.”

I think that would only be likely to work on the original image with full metadata. Once imgur or whatever has processed it that would be gone I assume.

I’d say very slightly past that. Quantum computers do work right now, but it’s the same way the Wright brothers’ first plane worked: as proof of concept and research, but not better than existing tech for solving any problems.

And it’s not that they fail to meet expectations of the designers, as far as I know they do exactly what they are built to do as well as predicted with the tech we have. Just the press is expecting more.

I would also guess that probably a lot of Microsoft enterprise stuff like active directory group policies likely aren’t supported well, but I don’t have enough knowledge to back that up.

I find Honkai: Star Rail even more suited to mobile (It’s mostly not reaction time based) but still play Genshin also. Not as much as I did, but still too much.
