I like Overlord. Its got good worldbuilding but it also doesn’t always take itself too seriously and throws in some comedy every now and then to keep it lively.

I also really liked Knight’s & Magic. There are not enough medieval fantasy / mecha hybrid shows out there, despite anime being the perfect medium for it.

Skeleton in Another World was a fun one once you get past the first episode. The attempted rape scene right in the beginning just shows too much on screen IMO, it would have been better to cut some of it short and show the scenery around more rather than what was actually shown. Very uncomfortable, which I hope is what its supposed to make the viewer feel, but then literally none of the rest of the show is every that intensity. Like it was almost Perfect Blue levels of showing too much for too long.

My biggest problem with Mushoku, and why I feel like I literally cannot recommend it, is because of the weird pedo stuff. It would be fine and easy to forget I guess if the show stayed in fantasy mode, but for whatever reason any time there is something slightly sexual the show writers decide to remind the viewer “erm actually the main character is a 40+ year old man.” That just pulls me right out of the show.

The other parts are cool, but that one thing really stops me from enjoying it more.

There was already 12 minute episode anime and I hated that, let’s please not do more of those. Felt like I was scammed out of half of an anime.

From what I remember, the Mirror on the Wall never said she was ugly, just that Snow White was “the fairest of them all,” or “the prettiest/most beautiful one of them all.” She could have been pretty still, just not the prettiest.

“They don’t have good manners, so I won’t have good manners” is a terrible way of thinking and living. If everyone did this, it would only take one person to completely eradicate good manners from humanity forever.

People who actually think this are using it as an excuse for their bad manners.

The person employed by the supermarket to gather carts is not employed to return your cart to the cart return near your vehicle. They are employed to gather the carts from the cart return near your vehicle and bring them back to the store building’s cart return.

By doing this, you do not create more jobs (as the cart return employee position already exists whether you return your cart or not), you create more work for an already probably underpaid employee and you also increase everyone’s autoinsurance because when the wind blows the carts damage other people’s vehicles.

I mean, the people wearing the Naruto headbands and stuff like they’re normal clothes probably should still be bullied a little bit. Maybe not as far as back in my day, but definitely don’t be encouraging that. I like anime but that’s not normal nor should it be normal. Its like chuuni disease for non-Japanese middleschoolers that are in high school or something, stop it.

But I also am happy to see it is less looked down on, like gaming.

I remember when we used to get bullied in school for liking anime.

A business is not a person. They should not get all the benefits of being a person with none of the negatives, and then also get all the benefits of being a business with none of the negatives.

If companies are going to do this then they should be legally required to continue printing/selling all of their legacy content. Because sometimes these kinds of sites will have the random obscure content that the publisher literally doesn’t sell anymore, but then the company still gets crazy with them.

Overlord has Mare and Aura though? Who, ignoring numerical age, have the appearance of a person under 20.

And Victim is a literal fetus, though Victim is only in the show for about 3 frames.

Yeah, Black Lagoon is lots of fun. I was so sad that it ended.

Jin-Roh slaps, just make sure you’re prepared for it. It’s a pretty heavy, typical Japanese war film, I don’t want to spoil anything so I will just leave it at that. Soundtrack is god-tier though.

+1 for Black Lagoon, W anime pick.

Also for Ghost in the Shell, PatLabor, and Redline.

I will also add on:

• Jin-Roh/Jin-Rou (not the Korean live action from 2019), but it does briefly show a child on screen as a supporting character, and I dont remember if Kei was over 18-20 or not

• AD Police Files, and its related series Parasite Dolls (unfortunately, the other related series Bubblegum Crisis and Bubblegum Crash are disqualified because Nene Romanov is 18 and Priss is 19, both under 20)

• Space Dandy (maybe, that anime had like a billion characters and I dont remember if all of them were adults or not, but its not exactly a kid oriented anime)

Do 1000+ year old characters that look young count?

I mean, I don’t remember watching an anime that has a character like that, but IDK some people are really weird about that.

As long as they don’t mess it up or do a bad job with subtitles, I am always happy for more Dirty Pair, even if its the same as before. A lot to ask for from any company these days, though.
