Sorry if it came across as dismissive as that wasn’t my intention, I think it’s a great looking little thing, just that it’s not an alternative to a “real” car. It’s in a different (legal) category, can be driven without a license and can only access secondary roads etc (I don’t live in France anymore and not super aware of what category L6e can and cannot do but for example it definitely can’t go on the highway).

If all you need is to grab your groceries etc from the next village, then yes it looks like it could do that. It does look like it’s legit but still in preorder phase. Realistically I think most people buying this either don’t really need a car or have more vehicles and are getting this for the fun factor.

That last one. If they have plates it should mean it’s technically road legal as far as I know, but in the same sense a dune buggy can be road legal but you couldn’t really use one as your daily driver.

Was very intrigued but this isn’t a serious alternative, they themselves refer to it as a toy multiple times on the website (even comes in it’s own giant toy box).

Also publicly funded TV tends to be way better. They have somewhat more accountability so especially news, politics etc tends to be much better. For leisure programs that varies a bit more by country, but obviously the BBC has produced a lot of great stuff.

Yeah I save everything locally, I technically have a small bit of cloud included with my plan (the smallest/cheapest one you can get, LR+PS), but I never use it. I’ve moved to alternatives for everything else but still stuck with LR+PS for the photo work for now…

Voice is a single source of audio (e.g. mono) so it’s typically recorded with mono mics. There can be multiple of them (lav on the body, boom over the frame is the usual) but both sources are mono and will indeed be mixed right down the middle unless they’re trying to make the viewer understand the location of the person speaking (for example imagine you’re watching the main character from behind while they’re in their room using the computer, then you hear their mom talk to them off camera, the voice is coming from a side and then the next shot you see the mom was located on that side, stuff like that).

Another method home sound systems use is to boost the EQ where voice is found (somewhere in the middle), or to apply compression to reduce the dynamic range, for example Sonos offers both these options in their home theater line, but they call them “speech enhancement” and “night mode” respectively.

You are completely correct. As long as you consume less/more calories than you spend, you will lose/gain weight. How to achieve that is where it can get complicated but I don’t think anyone can dispute the fact.
