My physical proximity friend group is delightful. It’s the only friend group I’m in where we don’t basically all have the same views and opinions, political, religious, etc. I love my family friend group and my found family, but I just played in the ocean last night with friends from highschool (some back to elementary school) and all their wives and it was a blast. We graduated more than a decade ago.

  • I quit caffeine over a year ago. I still think about it almost every day. Every day I’m so tired, and I think, “there’s an easy fix for this, just give me a cup of half-caf.” It’s never an option for me to think, no, I’m done with that. I always just tell myself, “you can have it next month if you still need it then” Addictions suck.

  • It’s about safety for me. Going on a date with someone is such a gamble. If they have zero social media presence, that’s outside of what’s normal. Anything outside of normal social expectations is a safety red flag to me, because you immediately become less predictable to me. I don’t want to be alone with someone I don’t really know who is unpredictable. I’m just trying not to get murdered.

  • The problem with this is that if a non-manufacturer sells the “same” product, and they both use the same warehouse, Amazon keeps both versions of the product in the same bin, and there’s no way to guarantee whether you’re getting the real product or the knockoff.

If you buy post-it notes from the official post-it’s Amazon store, they’re not necessarily giving you post-its from the official post-its stock. You could be getting post-its from seller A6Zodiyn which were never stored properly and several years old so the sticky note glue doesn’t hold anymore. But both sellers were selling post-its in the same packaging, so they’re in the same box in the warehouse and what the pickers grab is random.

But also the completely fake post-its are in that box too, and they don’t stick as well plus their color is off, and there are fewer sheets per pad. But because the outer packaging is the same, same same warehouse box.
